Pierre, SD, USA – May 8, 2023 – Thentia today announced that its unified regulatory platform, Thentia Cloud, has been chosen as the official regulatory licensing, permitting, and inspections platform for South Dakota.

As a result of this transformative contract with the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR), its plumbing and electrical commissions will be able to digitize their operations to make them more effective, efficient, and secure.

“We’re excited to partner with South Dakota to revolutionize the operations of boards and commissions across the state,” says Thentia’s CEO, Julian Cardarelli. “Our platform will streamline processes and increase security to better serve licensees, protect the public, and optimize regulatory staff time and resources.”

DLR chose Thentia Cloud because of its exceptional permitting and inspection capabilities, competitive pricing, and the company’s extensive experience working with hundreds of regulatory agencies across the United States. As former regulators themselves, the Thentia team understood the challenges facing DLR’s commissions and regulatory boards and were able to provide a platform that will bring their licensing processes into the modern age.

Thentia Cloud is available on Google Cloud Marketplace. This partnership with Google allows Thentia to accelerate its offering into new markets while providing government procurement offices with an easy way to get the software they need.

“Agencies within the public sector are increasingly turning to Google Cloud Marketplace to procure innovative solutions,” says Joel Pingel, Head of State & Local Government – Midwest Central Region, Google Cloud. “It’s exciting to see South Dakota and Thentia partner on this initiative to drive digital transformation and streamline operations across the state’s plumbing and electrical commissions.”
